Apply for a Grant

Overview

PEF offers educational grants to fund unique program and technology initiatives within the Pentucket Regional School District. These grants are intended for—but not limited to—enrichment programs not currently offered by the schools, challenging new courses of study geared toward future career paths and academic success, the development of state-of-the-art math and science labs, and the enhancement and advancement of technology integration.

Grant requests will be evaluated according to how well they meet PEF’s objectives. Requests for grants that support comprehensive programs for entire school communities, as well as those that target specific student groups will be considered. Innovative and creative proposals that directly impact the curriculum and technology are a priority. Grants are awarded in all curriculum categories. Staff professional development, and collaborations between schools and the community or businesses will also be considered.

Pentucket Education Foundation does not provide grants that support school operation costs. Grants are not rewarded for routine supplies and texts; however, requests for funds for supplies and equipment, workshop fees, and/or educational resource materials related to the grant project are allowed.

The application deadlines are October 15th and March 15th of every school year. All requests will be presented to the PEF Board of Directors at its next scheduled meeting after the application deadline. Grant awards will be announced shortly after the board meeting.

Apply for a grant using the Grant Request Application for grants of $500 or more, or grants under $500. Grants may onlybe submitted by staff from the six schools in the Pentucket district: Pentucket Regional High School, Pentucket Regional Middle School, Elmer S. Bagnall School, John C. Page School, Frederick N. Sweetsir School, and the Helen R. Donaghue School.
